MAN IN THE COMMUNITY AWARD
CHRIS TRENDALL
At the last Rotary function of his year, a barbecue held on Friday 27th June, President John Liverton together with the Mayor of Woking, Councillor Peter Ankers, presented this year’s award to Chris Trendall for his outstanding service to the local scout movement. Chris has been 7th Woking’s Scout Leader for many years and during this period has arranged over 100 trips from day outings to week long camps. One of his attributes is his ability to get so much out of young people.
Rotarian Terry Smith who has been involved with the Rotary Club’s ‘Man in the Community’ project for many years said ‘I have met many people that have won this award and Chris would rank amongst the top two or three’.
