Woking Rotary Club held their Kids Day providing a special morning of entertainment for children in Woking. During their visit to the Woking Miniature Railway at Knaphill the youngsters enjoyed over 370 trips on the tiny steam and diesel locomotives as well as rides on the merry-go-rounds, face-painting and balloon modelling sessions.

The 150 children including helpers who attended the Rotary Club of Woking event also tucked into ice cream and a tasty barbecue during their visit to the Barrs Lane site on Thursday.

The charity event this year was a huge success giving enjoyment to youngsters including from Sythwood Children’s Centre, helping young parents up to the age of 21 years; and from the White Lodge Centre which works closely with disabled children, young people and their families to maximise their potential and develop confidence and independence.

Woking Rotary Club would like to thank all the helpers and members of Mizens Railway for their time and support which this event relies upon.
